Need a Shed

ROOT MPM is entering its 15 th year of ministry. Through the years, we have not been able to reach the heart and soul of literally thousands of Florida’s incarcerated residents without the physical involvement and financial support of our ROOT Volunteers.

As successful as our past has been, we have had and continue to have ministry challenges in all areas of our mission objectives, development, and implementation. Even recognizing the immeasurable blessings and support from those that have freely given their time, materials, financial contributions, etc., the growth of this ministry continually places additional challenges before us.

As we move into 2022, unfortunately we have not only reached, but have surpassed, our physical space storage limit. Most all of you have seen our tables, pop-up tents, carts, sound equipment, material boxes, supplies, and hundreds of donated biblical literature and materials we offer freely to the residents. Behind all this are the historical records, computer resources, ministry promotional literature and displays, etc. Sooooo, with this picture in mind — where is all this stored?

Up to this point in time Tom and Penny have freely given their home and surroundings to this storage initiative. But now there is no more room! The solution then is to purchase a storage shed to solve the ministry’s storage problem and free up Tom and Penny’s home from this burden. Thus, we need your financial help and support to obtain a storage shed.
We have identified the perfect shed solution through Handi-House of Ocala. It measures 12’ X 30’ at a cost of $9,134 + tax.

Won’t you please consider a financial donation and/or pledge to help us obtain this storage shed?   Questions?  Contact us at here. Thank You for Your Support!

Uganda

For several years now I have been talking and praying with Chaplin Jeff Williams Apelli, with each of us keeping up with the others ministry. He has a prison ministry in Ugandi, Africa. We constantly encourage each other and pray for each other in our Ministries.

He usually has several men, just released from prison, staying with him until they can get back to their own homes. Or until they can find a place of their own. He has just received some land that he can build buildings on to help the ones that need a place to stay, praise the Lord!!

Please keep him and his ministry in your prayers. If you feel led to help in any way please get with me and I can assist or help get you in contact with Chaplain Jeff Williams Apelli Love you guys!!!!

Date: 14th December 2020.
Dear Brother Thomas,
RE:APPRECIATION FOR YOUR CONTINUOUS SUPPORT
Greetings in the most precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
On behalf of Riverside Prison Ministry, Uganda.
I wish to humbly pass my sincere thanks for your continuous financial and spiritual support our work for God in these trying year of 2020, I praise and give the Lord all the glory. Your support has gone a long way to advance and strengthen many in the faith more so my family and the ex inmate brethren who have been stranded with nowhere to go during the COVID pandemic. It has helped us in the purchasing of food and other upkeep needs as we went on with challenging initiatives in ministry such as the Rice farming and Fish
farming initiatives , it has helped us various ways to meet our welfare needs as we went on serving the Lord thru the year. Indeed it has been a year of testimony and I, my family and those you have touched with your help cant forget make mention of you to our Heavenly Father, MAY HE MEET THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART.

As the year comes to an end, we again call upon you to continuously consider giving us and our work for God room in your heart. In this festive season, I am always burdened to show the love of Christ to our brothers and sisters behind the wire but due to the COVID 19 guidelines we won’t be able to go in and have a meal and service with brethren behind the wire, With the Lord’s provision we can buy foodstuffs and thru the welfare officer pass
it onto to them, The feeding in prisons here is one of the worst my brother.

We kindly request you to consider helping us purchase foodstuffs, the Christmas support will also help us to be able to provide a good meal with ex inmate brethren staying with us in the ministry land.

I and my family highly appreciate your partnership, Together we are advancing the Lords Kingdom.
Yours In Christ’s Service
Chaplain Jeff, wishing you a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A PROSPEROUS 2021

Letter Writing Needed

All ROOT volunteers and others that would like to be a part of the ministry, Tallahassee has informed us that they are still on hold at this time, to entering prisons, for the ministry. The one way that we still have at this moment of reaching them, is through letter writing.

We have plenty of men and women that are writing us, for spiritual guidance through these difficult times. We only have a few writers, we could definitely use more people to write and encourage the men and women Behind Bars, even if it is just a few words it means so much to them.

All letters stay on a first-name basis and the address is my post office box to where no personal information is given. Please prayerfully consider helping us in this part of the ministry, it would bless so many. If you are interested please contact either myself or Penny Whisenant for details on getting started. Please continue to keep the ministry in your prayers Love you guys!!
